We Service, Repair & Install Gas Appliances
So many homeowners today have busy lifestyles and desire to shrink their carbon footprints, which is why gas fireplaces, inserts, and stoves have skyrocketed in popularity in recent years. These clean burning hearth appliances offer the ultimate in convenience, and homeowners can start relaxing with the push of a button, no matter how much (or how little) time they have to unwind.
Combine the convenience and clean burn of gas appliances with the incredible realism and craftsmanship that you find in modern gas logs and flame patterns and you’ve got the perfect reason to make the switch. But when it comes to gas appliances, there are a few things to keep in mind:
Not all appliances are created equal.
Looking for a new appliance? Knowing which brands and products have been vetted by industry professionals can save you time, money, and frustration. Here at Brickliners, we’re proud to sell and install the very best gas fireplaces, inserts, and stoves out there from industry leading brands Regency, Jøtul, Hearthstone, and Lopi.
Regency — Regency’s gas inserts, stoves, and fireplaces can run on natural gas or propane, and can be used to add heat and style to just about any space. They offer beautiful appliances in all sizes and heating capacities, and you’ll be blown away by the many style and design options available, including City Series Modern, Contemporary, and Traditional. Enjoy convenient and attractive features like direct vent technology, electronic ignition, remote controlled heat and flame patterns, safety screens, accent lights, glowing embers, and the most realistic looking logs and flame patterns imaginable. Looking for a corner, large view, or see-thru fireplace? Regency’s got it.
Jøtul — Jøtul is known for making stoves and fireplace inserts that truly last for generations. Inspired by the cast iron work of the Norwegians, these appliances bring traditional style and modern functionality together in ways that few brands can. Whether you’re looking for a traditional looking wood stove or a sleek, curvy-framed gas stove that adds a dash of modern charm to your living space, you won’t be disappointed by Jøtul. Like Regency, Jøtul appliances come equipped with safety screens and the latest burner and flame technology, and allow you to customize your fire by choosing your burner media (like traditional logs, driftwood, rocks, or both!).
Hearthstone — Hearthstone freestanding gas stoves light up big and small spaces and bring the comforting warmth of cast iron and the modern convenience of gas together. Enjoy complete control of heat output and even program your stove using the smart remote control. If quality craftsmanship and on-demand comfort are what you’re looking for in a stove, a Hearthstone stove is the answer.
Lopi — Lopi gas stoves and inserts are truly unique and make great zone heaters. They’re made to be enjoyed from every angle, which is why every inch of each appliance is carefully crafted with great attention to detail. This brand prides itself on its mastery of realistic flames, log sets, and embers, and provides large views of the fire and radiant heat, so if you’re big on looks and functionality, a Lopi is where it’s at. With GreenSmart Comfort Control, your Lopi stove or insert can be adjusted and enjoyed all year long, whether you need the heat or you just need a little ambiance. You’ll also enjoy remote control of your appliance, so you can set and adjust from wherever in the room you happen to be relaxing.
Installation should be done by a professional.
Once you’ve picked out your perfect gas appliance, it’s important that you have it installed by a professional. With gas, a lot can go wrong if the appliance isn’t installed and hooked up properly. Carbon monoxide poisoning is a big concern, but you also just want to make sure your appliance works as efficiently as it should and that your warranty is honored. Many manufacturers will void the warranty if the appliance was not installed by a certified and experienced professional.
Don’t risk it — leave installation to us. Those of us here at Brickliners have been installing hearth appliances for homeowners in Vermont for more than a decade and our CSIA certified techs are educated and trained to provide the very best service. We follow manufacturer’s instructions to the letter and we’ll make sure everything is set up safely and professionally so you can enjoy your new gas fireplace, insert, or stove without worries.
You’ll still need to have your appliance serviced, and on occasion, repaired.
Yes, gas appliances are clean burning and require less maintenance than wood or pellet appliances. But that doesn’t mean they won’t need to be regularly inspected, serviced, and repaired from time to time.
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) states that all chimneys/venting systems and their attached appliances should be inspected every single year, to ensure that the system is sound, operating correctly, and free of deposits and damage.
In addition to an inspection, you may need to have your gas appliance serviced and cleaned from time to time. During a service appointment, we’ll:
- remove and clean the logs
- clean the glass
- test the blowers and electrical components
- replace embers (if necessary)
- check for any CO2 leaks
- fire up and test the appliance
If we find that repairs are needed, we can take care of that, too. We’re proud to service and repair all brands and types of gas heating appliances, so when you call Brickliners in for the job, you can rest assured you’re in good hands.
