Schedule Your Annual Chimney Inspection Today: Don’t Wait for the Seasonal Rush

Early Annual Chimney Inspections Image- Burlington VT - Brickliners Custom MasonryThe Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) recommends an annual level 1 inspection and chimney sweep to ensure the safety of your home or business. The level 1 inspection is recommended under continued service, under the same conditions. This inspection can take place any time as long as you discontinue use of your appliance at least 24 hours before your appointment, however it is best to schedule your routine inspection during the off season.

At Brickliners we are proud to offer expert services, provided by Certified Chimney Sweeps who are experienced in level 1, 2, and 3 inspections. We know the importance of these annual check-ups, for your safety, for your property insurance, and for your own peace of mind. We don’t want to miss an opportunity to work with you and ensure you the best service in the area.

For Your Convenience

Brickliners has been serving the Burlington area since 2005, and our clients’ safety is our top priority. We strive to be the best in the business and our professionalism and experience ensures your home or business stays the best as well. Our expert technicians make it their priority to keep your home or business running smoothly—completing the job, and getting your heat system running again as soon as possible.

To keep things running smoothly for both Brickliners and our clients we offer a few suggestions when scheduling your appointment. We stay quite busy from about September to March with numerous emergency calls and chimney and fireplace services, so scheduling routine maintenance and inspections is best done during our off-season of about April through August. Scheduling during the off-season allows you more flexibility. You can schedule within your own schedule, and during our off-season we are better able to handle a reschedule when needed.

Prepare For Your Inspection

Before your appointment, be sure to discontinue use of your fireplace for at least 24 hours. This keeps our Certified Chimney Sweep safe, and ensures an accurate inspection. By scheduling in spring or summer it is almost certain you won’t need your furnace for heat, so you won’t be inconvenienced by discontinuing use.

Also, before your appointment be sure to empty your ash box so the sweep is able to assess all visible parts of your fireplace and firebox. Finally, clear an area of 4 to 5 feet around your fireplace or appliance so that our technicians can set up their equipment. By forward scheduling your chimney inspection and cleaning for our off-season you are better able to prepare for the appointment, therefore allowing our technicians to get in and out with little disruption.
